Province posts decision on proposal to return lands to the Greenbelt (Amendment to the Greenbelt Plan)

The government has made changes that restore all 15 areas of land that were redesignated or removed from the Greenbelt in December 2022. This controversial proposal initially received widespread praise as well as backlash from stakeholders across the province. Ultimately, the province has opted to reverse the decision to remove certain lands from the Greenbelt.
